- Meat 1 Kg ( chicken , beef or mutton but preferably beef)
- Wheat 1/2 Kg
- Tomato Puree 2 cups
- Green Chilies 20
- Garlic Paste 1 tsp
- Ginger paste 1 tsp
- Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
- Salt to  taste
- Black Pepper 1/2 tsp
- Stock 5 cups
- Oil/ Ghee 1/2 cup
- Onion (sliced) 2 medium size

Soak the wheat or gaihun in water for seven to eight hours. In a broad pot add wheat, salt and 1 1/2 liter water and cook it on medium flame till tender.

2. Take another pot, add meat, salt, whole green chilies, ginger, garlic paste, red chili powder, black pepper powder & tomato puree and cook it till tender (add 2 to 3 glasses of water in case of beef or mutton).

3. When the meat is tender then use a chopper to obtain haleem like consistency, however, the traditional method is the use of Ghotna.

4. Then add tender wheat & stock and cook the mixture till it is thick.

5. Heat oil/ghee in a pan and fry the onions till golden brown, pour it on the Hareesa as a decoration.

6. Serve it with lime, chopped green chilies, sliced ginger and garam masala Powder. This dish goes best with 

Retain the green of vegetables
Green vegetables lose color if subjected to continuous heat. So, don't overcook them.

 Make a Difference  
It is getting really hot now adays. But I hope the summer heat has not marred your spirits.
These days, I am on visit to Pakistan. I get sad when I see people unwilling to do what they can for the betterment of their country and sadder when the reason they give is that what difference one person can make. Fellows, just like it is tiny drops that make lakes, rivers and oceans, same way, each of us has a potential to bring the change.
Let me relate a story here. Once upon a time there was a writer who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore when he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. Curious as he was, he began to walk faster to find out for himself.  As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man who wasnít actually dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up starfish and very gently throwing it into the ocean.. When asked why he was throwing starfish in the ocean, he replied, "The sun is up, and the tide is going out, and if I donít throw them in theyíll die." The writer said to him, "But, young man, donít you realize that beach is stretched over miles, and starfish all along it. You canít possibly make a difference!"
After listening politely to the elder man, the young man bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, and said, "It made a difference for that one.Ē
 So friends, you see each of us has something very special. We have all been gifted with the ability to make a difference. We just need to become aware of the gift and use it to bring positive difference around. Once we realize our potential to be able to make a difference, we will gain the strength to shape the future. So friends, let us put our share in the Making of Pakistan- the Pak land as Quaid-e-Azam had wanted and for which our forefathers struggled for.
