I worked hard and built a house for you

You couldn’t keep it together and lost a floor instead

Have you ever thought why you faced this dishonor?

Let me tell you why

You didn’t thank Allah for the gift that he gave to you

I worked hard to make you a Pakistani nation

You became every thing except a Pakistani

Have you ever thought why you got divided?

Let me tell you why

You didn’t adhere to my teachings of unity, faith and discipline

I implored upon you to work, work and work alone

You preferred laxity and comfort instead

Have you ever thought what has become of you now?

Let me tell you what

You are now chained to whims and wishes of the rich west

I had a vision for Pakistan to be an egalitarian society

You got divided into tribes and castes instead

Have you ever thought about this predicament?

Let me tell you why

You didn’t learn lessons from the history

I envisaged a free democratic Pakistan

You went astray and worked against my vision

Have you ever thought about the morass that you are in today?

Let me tell you why

Because you glorify both civil and military dictators

I had dreamt of a Pakistan with religious tolerance

You started bombing each others mosques

Have you ever thought what damages you inflicted?

Let me tell you what

We stand a threat of international alienation as a result

And, now let me caution you about the dangerous future

You have vultures and dark clouds hovering above you

Have you ever thought about how to guard against?

Now finally, let me tell you how

Better checkmate your enemies within and enemies without
