BRAIN MASALA |
- 6 brains lamb
- 1 tsp. mustard powder
- 2 tbs. Garam Masala
- 1 tsp. red chili powder
- 2 green chilies fine chopped
- 3 tsp. chopped ginger
- I mid. onion finely
chopped.
- 1 tsp. Salt or to your taste
- 2 small tomato finely
chopped
- 4 tbs. cooking oil
- 3 tsp. fresh dhania
(Coriander leaves)
finely chopped.
- water to boil brain
1) Bring water to boil, add mustard powder
and brain.
2) Boil for 5 minutes.
3) Remove brain from water. Drain water.
4) Heat Oil. Add onions. Once onions are
golden brown add 1 chopped tomato. Cook for few minutes and
then add garam masala, red chilies, 1 tsp. chopped ginger
and salt.
5) Cook till all forms into a gravy or paste.
Add a little amount of water to avoid burning.
6) Once the gravy is ready, add brain. Stir
while cooking to break brain into small pieces. Cook for
about 5 minutes.
7) Add balance of tomato, ginger, green
chilies and Coriander. Cook for about 3 minutes. Brain
masala is ready to serve.
Serve hot with
Nan.

Roti.
Storing
Mushrooms
Cover mushrooms with a damp cloth or in a paper bag with
holes poked in the cloth/bag for ventilation. This will keep
them dry. Refrigerate for long life.

Senior WHO
official, Keiji Fukuda: "We will
continue to see spread of the virus"
The swine flu virus
has reached 160 countries and could
infect two billion people within the
next two years, the World Health
Organization has said.
A senior WHO official,
Keiji Fukuda, said the virus was still
in its early stages and would continue
to spread for some time.
Mr Fukuda said work on a
vaccine was intensifying but safety
could not be compromised by rushing the
process.
The virus is thought to
have killed almost 800 people in recent
months.
Mr Fukuda, the WHO's
Assistant Director General for Health
Security, said the agency had been
reporting only laboratory-confirmed
cases, but that this was always going to
be "only a subset of the total number of
cases".
"Even if we have
hundreds of thousands of cases or a few
millions of cases, we're relatively
early in the pandemic," he told the
Associated Press news agency.
"One of the things that
is relatively clear is that we will
continue to see spread of the virus;
even though we are now three to four
months into the pandemic, this is still
pretty early into the overall period,"
he said.
Mr Fukuda said the WHO
estimates two billion people, one third
of the global population, could
eventually be infected.
He said the figure was a
reasonable prediction, based on analysis
of previous pandemics, but that it was
"really impossible to predict what the
future will hold".
Pregnancy risk
Mr Fukuda said officials and drug
manufacturers were investigating how to
speed up the process of developing a
vaccine against the H1N1 swine flu
strain.
But he said there could
be no doubt over the safety and efficacy
of the drug before it was publicly
distributed.
"There is always a
balance in this sort of situation. You
of course want to get out vaccine and as
much vaccine as possible, as quickly as
possible. On the other hand there are
certain things which cannot be
compromised," he said.
"There are certain areas
where you can make economies, perhaps,
but certain areas where you simply do
not try to make any economies."
The WHO says that in
most affected countries, the majority of
cases appear to be occurring in young
people, around the ages of 12 to 17,
although some reports suggest it is
mainly older people who have required
hospital treatment.
The organisation also
said there was "accumulating evidence
suggesting pregnant women are at higher
risk of more severe disease".
But Mr Fukuda said the
WHO "certainly has no recommendations on
whether women should try to have
children now".

TIME
IS MONEY
Assalam-O-Alaikum
Folks, hope all of you are in good shape.
Let me start by asking what you will do if you are given a
certain amount of money each day on condition that you
cannot carry the money to the next day. At the end of each
day, whatever money you will fail to use will be nullified.
Certainly, you will avail each penny of it fully because you
don’t want to waste the resource that you have.
Just as money is one resource so is TIME. How often do we
hear ‘Time is money’, yet we do not value it as much as we
shall be. Each day we are given twenty four hours, which is
one thousand four hundred and forty minutes, which equals to
eighty six thousand and four hundred seconds. We have the
choice to utilize this perishable treasure. If we fail to
use the day's deposits, the loss is all ours. We cannot
rewind the clock and go back. We cannot save ‘time’ to use
it tomorrow. We must live in the present and cash our day.
Fools waste it by idling it. Wise spend their time such that
it turns into profitable investment in terms of good health
and real happiness. Great people use their time for working
out things that may benefit mankind in the end.
Remember that time is ever on the move and once gone, it
will never return. One must learn to make use of time to its
maximum and do not waste precious time.
So fellows, go ahead and make the most of your ‘day’.
