Tips to Hair
Loss
Prevention

Losing hair is a part of life that most people do not look forward to. If you have bald family members, you may be especially nervous about waking up one morning to find you pillow covered with hair, or your hair brush with more hairs than your head. If this sounds like something that you worry about, then you might want to learn some hair loss prevention tips.

1- One widely held belief is that the over use of chemicals on the hair can cause hair thinning and eventually hair loss. If you like to enhance the look of your hair through chemical means, but are nervous about future hair loss, it is a good idea to only have this type of work done by a licensed beautitian. Many do-it-yourselfers are too inexperienced to properly perform chemical treatments to their hair, having a tendacncy to over apply the products. If you do color your hair, it is thought best to keep the frequency to a six or eight week minimum.

2- It is important to eat healthy foods and ensure that your body is getting the vitamins and minerals that it needs. Often times the body will show poor health in the hair follicles and finger nails before and actual illness is detected. While it is important to get enough of the right nutrients, it is just as important not to get too much of any one type of vitamin. For example, too much of vitamins A and E, have been linked to hair loss.

3- When and if an illness is detected, it is important to take care of your health needs. If the doctor has prescribed medications, take it. Failure to follow the doctors advise will cause your body to work harder just to stay alive, it won't have enough energey to keep the hair follicles growing and will eventually lead to hair loss. This is an excellent form of hair loss prevention.

4- The style that you wear your hair can also be a hair loss prevention opportunity. When ever possible, avoid pulling hair into styles that require it to be pulled tight and bound with elastic for long periods of time. While hair accessories have become much more hair friendly during recent years, hairstyle such as tight ponytail, pig tails and cornrows can still do damage to the hair shaft and ultimately to the hair follicle.

5- A way to pamper yourself doubles as a hair loss prevention idea. Using satin or silk pillowcases, is thought to prevent hair loss due to the fact that a silk or satin pillowcase will cause less friction while sleeping than a cotton or flannel pillowcase. This is because the head and the hair slide across the pillow instead of needing to be forcefully pushed across.

6- There is a whole group of old wives's tales that relate to hair loss prevention. These tips definatly won't hurt to try, but really don't do anything to combat the issue of hair loss. For instance, it has been said that standing upside down will increase blood flow to the head and that massaging the scalp or briskly brushing the hair will make the hair stay put and not fall out. This is simply not the case.

7- It is important to remember that even in a healthy person, it is completely normal to lose between 50 and 100 hairs from the head every day. If you feel that your hair loss issues are beyond that norm, speak with your doctor or dermatologist about your concerns. They will be able to determine if the hair loss is due to a medical or age issue, and point you in the right treatment direction.

OMG! HUGE PROMINENCE: 15th April 2010
One of the biggest prominences in years erupted from the sun's northwestern limb yesterday. The massive plasma-filled structure rose up and burst during a ~2 hour period around 0900 UT on April 13th. Observers in Europe had a great view:

Jo Dahlmans of Ulestraten, The Netherlands, took the picture using his Coronado Personal Solar Telescope. "The sight of this massive prominence making its way through space was just amazing," he says. "I'm glad I caught it."

The eruption hurled a bright coronal mass ejection (CME, movie) into space. The expanding cloud could deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field around April 15th. NOAA forecasters estimate a 35% chance of polar geomagnetic activity when the CME arrives

Dear CP,
I am a CP member from Jeddah since last 8 years. It is very difficult for me to express in words the work you are doing comparing to any other Pakistani community organization. I always admire the way equality works in CP that you have no respect to classes or status. You simply work for humanity and in return never ask even a thank you. It is shameful but most of us even would not thank you for what you are always doing even at times other knowing how you help the needy. May Allah protect you and bless you for your good work. I will like to say to all other so-called community organization to learn some humanity from you guys!
Shamim Khan, Jeddah.

Dear Bhai, we thank you for your comments but would disagree to this that other organizations are not doing any thing. Remember each organization has its own way of serving the community. At times their activities are limited to their members, like we only offer our services to CP members. Yes the class 'status' problem is there but remember that we are brought up in the society where this nasty system exists by which you are judged with your status than your deeds being a human being. May Allah SWT guide us all. What we at CP are doing nothing more than practicing the human values that makes us superior 'Ashraf ul Makhlookat' Thanks once again.

 Allah is with Me
Assalam-O-Alaikum!
Hope all sunny at your side.
Many a times, we feel as if life is treating us bad. We are not getting what we deserve? In otherwise smoothly flowing life something so unpleasant unexpectedly happens that we wonder for what are we alive. And then come at the usual conclusion such ebbs are a part of life and are meant to test of the endurance of our faith.
Universally it is believed that do good to get good. Hence when we do good deeds we expect to be appreciated. But we don’t always see so. Agreed, being good does have its own rewards, especially in terms of character strengthening and in making the world a better place. There are so many who did and do invaluable services to humanity yet do not get the same recognition as some others do. There are many unsung heroes who were never appreciated in history for their invaluable services to humanity.
We can’t say that these people didn't try hard enough to gain the respect they deserved. Perhaps they are the ones who tried the hardest. But this world is not the ultimate and it is very likely that what we sow here, we will reap accordingly in the Hereafter. You must have heard the phrase 'Insaan apni kismat khud banata hai'. (Every man makes his own fate). It doesn't mean that if you do good in the first half of your life you will have it easy in the second half. No. You might have it easy or you might not. Doing good deeds in the first half of life is not the reason why some people have blissful lives till the end of their days. Getting to enjoy a happy life on the basis of your deeds would happen only in a place where there is complete justice. And this world is not the place where people get what they deserve; here it is often the other way round. That is the reason God says there will be justice on the Day of Judgment. He knows this place is not meant for fair dealings and that is why He created an after-life where people would get what they deserve. In my view this is what the above mentioned phrase means…Man does create his own fate -the fate of his life in Hereafter. So you can do good things all your life and still have a life with rough sailing while the cheats and pretentious people around may still seem to get away with wickedness.
Folks, without doubt, investing in your after-life is worth the trouble. The after-life is for eternity. Take a leap of faith and believe in God when He says everyone will get what they deserve in another life that will extend till infinity. So, the next time you cry out in frustration when a shallow oaf kicks you down the ladder and tramples over you, just remember that one day he will be exposed in front of all. Know it that Allah Almighty is watching the struggle and is taking into account every time someone takes others’ silent suffering as a license to cause further pain. Rest assured, God is watching you and He won't let the struggle in vain. Because  we all are in “safe hands”.
Till next time,

Wa-alikum-us- salam
